While we’re sure you have your own questions, here are some questions that we get asked on a regular basis:
You’re located on the campus of Florida State University – is your church only for students?
No, actually most of the people at University Lutheran are not students. People from all over Tallahassee and even some of the surrounding towns come to University Lutheran and are members here. We feel that having an intergenerational community is a very positive and healthy thing, and so we strive to make our church a place where all generations can hear about Jesus Christ.
What is worship like on Sunday morning?
We pray that the Holy Spirit works through us every Sunday morning. In preparation for His work, we strive to create an environment that is fun, thoughtful, and inspiring. We try not to take ourselves too seriously, but we do take God seriously. Our worship services are “liturgical”, a word that means that we follow a set order. There is communion every Sunday.
Where do I park?
Our parking lot is located off Pensacola St., right across the street from the stadium Garnet and Gold. On Sundays, you can also park at the “A Women’s Pregnancy Center” lot, the Islamic Center of Tallahassee lot, and any FSU lot (Sunday mornings there are no patrols, so no tickets or towing).
