Our sermons are only a part of our Sunday morning, but they are an important part – they are the Word of God presented to us in our context so that we can repent, seek to amend our lives, and receive God’s grace through the power of the Gospel.
We continue to work through the Gospel of Luke, into chapters 3 and 4.
We begin our sermon series called “Center Story” talking about the Ephesians and how Paul is reveling on that they are a church, and how we can revel at who God has brought together in the Church today.
We are starting off a new Gospel with the Gospel according to Luke, reading Luke chapters 1 and 2.
We talk about our laments and our God who hears our cries.
We talk about the relief that the disciples feel when Jesus calms the storm, and we talk about that same feeling in our lives.
We finish off Mark 15 and 16 with a special note about how the Gospel of Mark ends.
We talk about our expectations and how Jesus comes to give us new expectations of life.
We talk about what separates us and how Christ brings us together.
We begin to talk about Jesus’ passion in Mark and discuss how He is preparing His disciples.
