Holy Week at University Lutheran

Join us for Holy Week, the celebration of the life, suffering, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ that begins with Palm Sunday and ends with Easter Sunday. All 2021 Holy Week events are hybrid, meaning there is a possibility for attending in-person and via live stream on our Facebook and You Tube pages.

Palm Sunday

Begin Holy Week with us with the remembrance of Jesus entering Jerusalem triumphantly and then reading the Passion story from Mark together. Service includes a palm processional for those who are able and comfortable.

Maundy Thursday

Join us as we take a look back into what the Passover might have looked like with Jesus as we go through the elements of a Passover Seder with special emphasis on how these elements connect with Scripture. This service includes socially distanced eating and drinking of certain elements, but no full meal as in years past.

Good Friday

Join us as we commemorate the death of Jesus. This service to include a reading of the passion, darkness, and the stripping of the altar. There will be no personal nailing of nails into the cross as in years past.

Easter Sunday

Join us at 9am and 11am for the celebration of Christ’s victory over the grave and our reason for hope.
