For the next few Sundays, we are going to visit some of Jesus’ miracles as they are recorded in the Gospel according to Matthew.
The question that we can often have when it comes to Jesus’ miracles is “great, that’s kind of neat that He did that, but what does that mean for me?”
One of the things that we can come away from every miracle understanding fits very well with our Annual Focus, “True Presence”. The True Presence focus has been about trying to make it more clear that God is “in, with, and under” you in your daily life. Jesus’ miracles showed the people around Him that “True Presence” being made manifest in their lives.
But what about in our lives? We don’t have Jesus turning water into wine around us, so how do the records of these miracles point to a present-day presence that is still with us today? That is what we are going to be exploring over the next few weeks before the semester starts. Join us and “be present” yourself in the sanctuary or online to see more of God’s True Presence with us.
