It really shouldn’t be a surprise, we do live in Florida, after all.
But, just in case you hadn’t noticed: It’s hot outside.
And maybe rainy too, which just means that it’s steamy hot.
Again, we do live in Florida. We should expect this.
But that doesn’t keep us from complaining about it. It doesn’t mean that we’re in love with sweating in the upper 90’s.
We are certainly NOT turning the air conditioning off.
It really shouldn’t be a surprise, we are sinners, after all.
But, just in case you hadn’t noticed: It’s a terrible, sinful world outside. Wars, unfaithfulness, arguments, hatred, cowardice, and just plain evil.
Again, we are sinners. We should expect this.
But that doesn’t keep us from complaining about it. It doesn’t mean that we’re in love with the human casualties we see around us.
We are certainly NOT turning away from Jesus. He’s the only one who will bring us relief. The only one who will set us by cool, still waters.
It really shouldn’t be a surprise, we are His baptized children, after all.
And just in case you forgot: He has a sinless eternity planned for us (and I don’t think it’ll be this hot).
